Is it just me or have restaurants increased their prices? I think people haven't noticed ot or maybe attribute it to the VAT because the price increase was done this way: say you used to pay P150 bucks for a meal. This P150 was the vat inclusive price - meaning P15 of the P150 you payed is for VAT.
What I think some restaurants have done is to still retain P150 for the same item but treat it as the vat exclusive price - so you pay P150 plus 12% of P150. Dati you only payed P150. If anyone kept their old receipts (pre RVAT) they can check if this is true.

things to do in eternity
I think it's quite ironic to plan for eternity because...well, just because its forever. But I've sometimes daydreamed of the things I would definitely want to do when I meet God and everyone else up there. Here's a short list:

It's quite obvious that I really haven't given much thought to which things should be first on my list (kasi nga eternity) but I'm excited, as in really excited about it . about nothing really

I lost sleep watching Before Sunset the other night. Attempted to lose more sleep the other night over Before Sunrise. I just love those movies. Linklater, Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke are genii!

Made my first big career move. Decided to leave my wonderful (I kid you not) job in Financial Planning to join the rollercoaster ride of pharma marketing - well, officially Feb 1 pa. I got first-day-of-class jitters all over again. Buti na lang I have a big God!

It's funny how your old self is able to creep up on you and blindside you. You would think that after living with it for 20 odd years, I'd be able to smell my old me a mile away. But as I was driving home tonight and reflecting on the past couple of days, I realized how many times my old self resurfaced. There was that almost evange-ligaw-like thought the other day. I honestly never thought that thing would even enter my mind! And then it just dawned on me kanina that there have been times talaga (in the recent past) when I've let my anger get the better of me. And so sometimes I wonder - how do people see me na? Do they see Christ or do they still see me?
Lord I pray for more of you and none of me.

Today, God reminded me of this: that my hands are not made holy by what I have achieved this past week, month or year. I can lift up my hands and worship not because I've been good but because of the cross.
